She has many abilities including her proficiency with Nietono no Shana, the ability to wield flame, manipulation of the power of existence, harboring extrasensory traits, and fly with wings made of flames. Her nodachi, Nietono no Shana, means “Vairocana of the Offering Room”.

K-On!: Nakano Azusa 02

A self-proclaimed novice guitarist, Azusa has been playing the guitar since 4th grade. She is in the same year and class as Yui’s sister, Ui, and joins the light music club as their rhythm guitarist.

Although she does not understand the club’s tea parties and cosplaying activities, she has a weakness for cakes and therefore deals with them. Yui nicknamed her “Azu-nyan” after she tried on a pair of cat ears and meowed, and the fact that she could be calmed down at times just by petting.

Contrary to Anna's own belief, Sawatari Izumi is not interested in having a relationship with another girl. Anna’s misconception was derived from Izumi’s relentless efforts to keep Anna away from their master, Nakabayashi Yoshitaka. Although she is the third girl to be hired as a maid, Anna cannot cook proper meals, which is the subject of many jokes in the series.

Although usually appearing to be emotionless, Ciel occasionally expresses his concern for the well-being of those who are close to him. He sometimes portrays himself as a happy person especially when undercover, but soon returns to his true self. Ciel is highly reliant on Sebastian, his butler, and does not appear to interact with the other servants of the Phantomhive Household as often, although they are all devoted to him.

Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance: Makinami Mari Illustrious 03

The beginning of the movie immediately reveals Makinami Mari Illustrious to be a pilot of the Provisional Evangelion Unit-05. She was sent to destroy the resuscitated skeleton of the Third Angel in its attack on NERV’s arctic Bethany Base. Mari was able to successfully defeat the Angel by self-destructing her unit,and ejecting at the last minute to avoid her own death.

I guess Evangelion’s 4-part theatrical remake really made an impact on the con goers this year. Thanks again for the contribution, Quince!

So many great cosplays from Comiket this year… I don’t think I can keep up with my emails any more.

In any case! I’m wondering about this particular photo. The first character that came to mind was Tosaka Rin from Fate/Stay Night. I think she wore a maid uniform in Ataraxia or Zero, but I think her skirt was a lot longer in that series.

Ikkitousen: Ryofu Housen

A skilled tactician with a promiscuous personality, Ryoufu is a strong fighter who has a habit of dressing skimpy. Although she tried her best to escape her destiny, she ended up causing it anyway. She is afflicted with a deadly illness that would kill her before she even reaches adulthood.

Touhou Project: Hakurei Reimu 04

One of the main characters of Touhou Project, Hakurei Reimu is easygoing, curious, and somewhat dutiful. She is the Shrine Maiden of Hakurei Shrine which probably explains why is is sympathetic towards many people. Reimu also tends to be overly optimistic, and her shrine has become a popular hangout for some of Gensokyo’s more interesting females.

Also known as “Yurippe”, Nakamura Yuri has a determined personality who is smart and decisive when making operations. She invited Otonashi Yuzuru to join SSS, an organization she founded and leads which fights against God. She carries a silver Beretta 92 and is not only skillful with a gun, but is also very capable in close range hand-to-hand combat.

K-On!: Akiyama Mio, Nakano Azusa, and Hirasawa Yui

Mio, Azusa, and Yui are all members of the light music club of their school. Mio plays a left-handed, 3-Color Sunburst Fender Jazz Bass with a tortoiseshell pickguard, though she was seen playing a Fender Precision Bass in the manga's first volume. Azusa is a rhythm guitarist who plays a Fender Mustang electric guitar. Yui, the main vocalist of the group, plays a Heritage Cherry Sunburst Gibson Les Paul Standard electric guitar that she nicknames "Gita".

One of the most visited places on the market today is computer animation. Computer animation technology is still simpler and easier from day to day, at the same time opportunities for people seeking to become computer animators has increased significantly.

See what I mean about school girl uniforms? This is the second unknown cosplay today, and I'm still as clueless as I was this morning!

I actually thought she was from Full Metal Panic! or maybe even Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu because of the overall color scheme. Now I’m not so sure because I think their uniforms had a red bow instead of the green tie she’s wearing.

I'm beginning to wish school girl cosplays had IDs to go with them.

Just who is this purple haired bishoujo with the black and red uniform? Knowing who the cosplayer is would almost be mission impossible as it goes with these large conventions, but hopefully someone will comment and reveal which character she’s cosplaying as.
