Lucky Star: Hiiragi Kagami 02

lucky star cosplay - hiiragi kagami 02 by kanda midoriDespite her annoyance with Konata's constant references to her otaku interests, Kagami is quite knowledgeable with anime and games, preferring light novels over manga. She tends to fret about her weight even though she has no willpower in controlling her eating habits. Although she and Konata are often seen arguing, Kagami has a strong attachment to Konata and is almost always willing do favors for her.

Cosplayer Kanda Midori makes a great Kagamin! This Miko outfit really suits her character as well. I don’t remember an episode from the series showing Kagami as a shrine maiden though, do you? Thanks to Wendy for suggesting this!

Lucky Star: Izumi Konata 05

lucky star cosplay - izumi konata 05 from comiket 2010Often accused of being "lazy" by Kagami, Konata is actually very intelligent and capable of athleticism. Unfortunately, she regards her hobbies as an otaku to be more important that her studies. She lives with her widowed father and is the splitting image of her mother. Her cousin, Kobayakawa Yutaka, later comes to live with them in order to attend Konata’s school.

Cute cosplayer from Comiket 2010! And isn’t that an Ultraman pose she’s doing like in the series? Thanks to Edward for sending this!

Lucky Star: Izumi Konata 04

lucky star cosplay - izumi konata 04Well-known for her curious question about chocolate cornets, Izumi Konata is the leader and the shortest of the main characters in the series. She works in a cosplay cafe in Akihabara in order to fund her expensive hobby of collecting manga, anime, and games. She loves to play online games late into the night, which is the reason why she tends to fall asleep in class.

I don’t think she ever got the answer to which end of the chocolate cornet is the head. As for me? I’m wondering about Japan’s uniforms; I know they have two sets, one for summer and one for winter, but are they usually two different colors too? Anyway, great job with this cosplay! Thanks to fuffly for sharing!
