Vampire Knight: Kiryuu Zero 07

Zero is very hostile towards the Night Class because of his deep hatred towards all vampires, especially to purebloods who have changed his life forever. He can be very tsundere, meaning cold and distant in the beginning but eventually warming up to people. Despite his anger, his sense of duty overrides his issues, ensuring his reliability and trustworthiness.

Cosplayer Amore of DreamS TraderS makes quite an interesting Zero, especially this photo with plushie Kaname! Looks like she owns a lot of plushies actually; can anyone name them all?

Vampire Knight: Kurenai Maria 02

A distant relative of Hio Shizuka, Maria is a sickly vampire who allowed Shizuka to possess her body in exchange for her blood. As Shizuka is a pure blooded vampire, her blood has many healing properties that would ultimately strengthen Maria. Unfortunately, Shizuka died in the hands of Kuran Kaname before Maria could ever obtain Shizuka’s blood, but Maria confessed that she would have allowed Shizuka to use her even if she received nothing in return.

So pretty! And so much like Maria when she was possessed by Shizuka! I really love how she did her hair for this cosplay. Thanks to Lily for sending this!

Vampire Knight: Kain Akatsuki

Aido Hanabusa's cousin, Kain Akatsuki is considered to be one of Kuran Kaname's Right Hand Men. Despite his “wild” appearance, he is actually quite mellow and laidback. Kain is known for his incredible perception and sensitivity, particularly to Aido’s and Ruka’s feelings.

Vampire Knight: Yuki Cross 05

Yuki Cross, the adopted daughter of Cross Academy’s Headmaster Kaien, is later revealed to the pureblooded vampire princess, Yuki Kuran. Her mother, Juri, sacrificed herself in order to seal Yuki’s vampire nature, allowing her to live 10 years as an ordinary human girl. However, Kaname had to re-awaken Yuki’s vampire self when the original threat, Rido, returned to harm her.

I think this is a photo of Kipi cosplaying as Yuki, but I’m not completely sure. What do you guys think? Thanks to Pikori for sending this in!

Vampire Knight: Kuran Kaname 10

Revealed to be the first ancestor of the Kuran Family, Kaname was awakened from his slumber at the sacrifice of his descendents’, Haruka and Juuri’s, child. Rido murdered the baby, who ironically had the same name, with the intent of devouring their ancestor to strengthen his own powers.

Kaname was able to stop Rido’s plans temporarily, but was too badly injured and starved after several years of sleep that he knew he could go berserk at any moment. Kaname then chose to fall into Haruka and Juuri’s mercy and turn himself into a baby, a form that would not need a lot of blood in order to survive, and put his own memories to sleep so that it would not get in the way.

The second character to reach 10 different cosplay features in Cosplay Holic! I didn’t know this series was so popular, specifically this character as there have been a lot of fan bashing lately. Thanks to Blood Red Princess for sending this in!

Vampire Knight: Kageyama Kasumi

The President of Yuki’s and Zero’s Class, Kageyama Kasumi is one of Ruka’s biggest fans. He was upset when Yuki got a failing grade in their exams because she pulled their class average down to the lowest rank in the entire level. Their class was then assigned to decorate the hall for Cross Academy’s Dance Festival, which made Kageyama think that he would not be able to dance with Ruka that night. Despite his best efforts in finishing their class duties as soon as possible, Ruka still turned him down, choosing to dance with Kain Akatsuki instead.

One of the minor characters from Vampire Knight, but I had wished he had more screen time. I was actually glad to see that ~Michiaki took the time to make this cosplay! Thanks also to ~Efryee, the photographer!

Vampire Knight: Kiryuu Zero 06

The year after the Cross Academy's Night Class ceased to exist, Zero continued his studies under the Kaien Cross' and Yagari Toga's admonition. With Hunters' Association in chaos, Zero is appointed to take over once he finishes high school. His relationship with Yuki is still tense at this point as Zero is torn between his past friendship with her and with the fact the he wishes to annihilate all vampires.

Vampire Knight: Kuran Kaname 09

In recent chapters of Vampire Knight, it is revealed that Kaname was indeed, resurrected from the grave by his own descendant, Rido Kuran. It appears that Rido used Haruka and Juuri's first born son, who was also named Kaname, as a sacrifice in order to awaken his great ancestor, but little is known as to what actually took place during the ritual. Even more astonishing is the fact that Rido Kuran is still alive... perhaps it's because of Kaname's existence that he can continue living? After all, a servant can never hope to kill his master.

Singaporean cosplayer おくの (Okuno) who is also known as Mike is the man behind this Kaname cosplay. I must admit, I'm glad to see a guy cosplay him, as there are more girl cosplayers of Kaname. Vampire Knight: Touya Rima and Souen Ruka

I was quite pleased when Australian cosplayer, ~Rima-kawaii contacted me in my Deviant Art account in order to contribute this lovely photo of her as Touya Rima and her friend ~silverfiction "Mik" as Souen Ruka. It's nice to see a Western twist in the popular series, Vampire Knight by Hino Matsuri. Thanks so much for this, Rima!

Vampire Knight: Ichijou Takuma 02

A close friend of Shiki Senri and Touya Rima, Ichijou's grandfather allowed him to enter Cross academy so that he could spy on the pure blood, Kuran Kaname. Ichijou refused to follow his grandfather's orders out of loyalty, but when Kuran Rido possessed Shiki, he was forced to go against Kaname in order to protect his friends. He returns to Kaname's side once Shiki was freed, going so far as challenging his own grandfather to put an end to the Ichijou line.

Vampire Knight: Kiryuu Zero 05

Born of twins into an infamous Vampire Hunter family, Zero’s fate drastically changed when he was attacked by a pure blooded vampire, Hio Shizuka. He lost his parents and his twin, Ichiru, chose to stay with Shizuka, leaving him alone and orphaned. Despite these series of unfortunate events, Kaien Cross adopted Zero and Yuki began to help him recover emotionally.

Cosplayer “Nectar” makes a convincing Zero! And we haven’t had a lot of cosplays of him yet. Thanks to Ishitar for suggesting this!

This is Kaname Kuran from Vampire Knight, but he is actually “cosplaying”. The magazine publishing Vampire Knight, Lala, had a “cosplay contest” and the winner, M.I. from Tokyo, submitted the theme “Angels and Demons”. M.I. won the contest and Hino Matsuri drew the idea.

Vampire Knight: Souen Ruka 03

When Rido Kuran attacked the Cross Academy, Ruka helped protect the Day Class students from Rido’s followers despite her dislike of humans. In the anime, she’s shown to have the power of mind control, while the manga has not shed much light on her powers.

When Kaname hosted a ball for the new Vampire Society and the Hunters Association, Ruka was seen teaching Yuki proper etiquette, as well as helping her get ready for the ball.

Beautiful Ruka! Although the official Japanese name according to Hino Matsuri is “Luca”. I guess both names sound pretty similar anyway. Great work!

Vampire Knight: Kurenai Maria and Yuki Cross

A distant relative of Hio Shizuka, Maria acted as her vessel when she infiltrated Cross Academy. Once there, she told Yuki she had the secret to keep Zero from falling into level E, and in order to gain that secret, she must do one of two things: sacrifice herself, or kill Kuran Kaname.

You can probably guess what Yuki chooses in this photo. Both of them have really well-made dresses too, but didn’t Yuki give that rose on her choker to Zero? Great work still! Thank you for uploading this!

Vampire Knight: Kuran Kaname 07

Kuran Kaname is the first ancestor of the Kuran clan who was taken from eternal slumber and forced back into the land of the living by his own descendant, Rido Kuran. While Rido’s purpose in reviving Kaname was to make use of his powers, Kaname was able to kill his master by the use of a “white pawn stained black”, Kiryuu Zero.

Quite impressive that the cosplayer is able to capture Kaname’s look. I love the eyes and how they seem to look right through you. Wonderful job!

Vampire Knight: Yuki Cross and Kiryuu Zero

When they were young, Zero came to live with Chairman Cross as his family was attacked by a pure-blooded vampire, Hio Sihzuka. Yuki reached out to him as she thought her family had probably disappeared the same way, despite not remembering any of it. Yuki gave Zero a sense of purpose and holds her dearly, not knowing that fate can be even more cruel than he imagined.

Beautiful cosplay! I love the rose petals in this picture. At least now the Ze-ki fans will stop trying to kill me… but Kana-ki is still a nice pairing too. I wonder who will end up with who in the end?
